Tilt the head

The past few weeks I’ve been working on GERD.  This stomach acid regurgitation affects the throat and, for me at least, creates nausea.  I’ve tried out diet and even gravol.

The effects have certainly lessened.  Today we went one step further.  Based on Web information and on a personal testimony from another pastor, we raised the head of the bed.

Not professionally!

But with blocks and the handyman’s friend, duct tape. 

I gave the bed a try.  You feel a bit like you could slide without any effort onto the floor.  Sitting up after exiting the bed gives the sensation of tilting forward just slightly.  My feet feel as though I’m wearing high heels. 

My stomach?  Certainly in better shape than when I sleep lying flat. 

That’s one day and one experience.  We’ll see how it goes!
