  1. Sounds good, Ron. Good size turkey. I always do the stuffing separate too. Although I usually don’t do first time recipes for company. Always a tried and true recipe than I know it will turn out. I don’t like to experiment on guests !! Have fun !!

  2. You will do just fine, brother dear! You can’t go wrong with turkey as long as the turkey itself is a good one (like one from a local farmer who lets it run around and eat grain, weeds, grasshoppers … ). On the other hand one from the store can be enhanced by making sure that you baste (pour the drippings from the turkey) over it every hour or so. It will help keep it moist. Oh yes, and a little salt and pepper to season the skin. (:
