The internet keeps morphing.  There was an idea to make information form around the world available to everyone (for free?).  Commercial interests saw the way things were going and jumped on board.  Search engines made things available.  Wiki’s worked interactively.

And now, the next step?  Check out this link that talks about a new leap for internet use.  The idea is that you can search using “normal” language and not get millions of hits!  If it works, perhaps the holy grail of the internet will finally have been found.  If not, there is still tomorrow!

Down Home

Funny how we still think of our parents house as home.

We have been married 33 years this year.  Today we drove home from my parents place in LaFleche.  Home from home.

Perhaps it is the knowledge that their door is always open to us.  Perhaps the ingrained impressions of childhood and youth remain regardless of age.  Perhaps there are other reasons.  I’m not sure.

And maybe just reasoning it out is irrelevant.  The instinct is that which carries the day.

And so today, I returned home from home.

Up and Back

Gone by 6:00 and back tonight by 10:00.  The destination was Meadow Lake.  The reason was a seminar by David Eckman.

My companion was Wayne Gibson — we both enjoyed the sessions immensely.

And now, time for bed.

Cook Off

French Fries, Chicken Nuggets and Apple Crisp.  All the best food has two names!

Tonight with our youth group split in two parts (one half in Regina doing Bible quizzing – the other half here!), we had a cook off at our house.  The boys versus the girls.

A quick vote as we ate.  A tie!  That’s what I call a good call.

Then a quick game or two or three of UNO.  They are all quite proficient.  In between a Bible reading time from Philippians 4.  They landed on the thought that we need to not worry about anything.  Whether it is math or death, to live without worry is important.

Finally, the cars and bikes headed home.  I’m now heading to bed.  Tomorrow is a four hour trip to Meadow Lake and back.  See you later!!
