Laugh in the morning

A day off is a (fill in the blank!).

I started off on my computer (well, after a shave and shower).  I had seen a great video on jellyfish — the creature that has not plans, he’s just carried along by the currents. Phil Vischer of Veggie Tale fame has a company based on that idea.

So, I headed to wikipedia to check it out.  We have a grandson who benefit from some Phil videos!  Found out that there is a “television” channel.  Currently it is free – an experiment to get the word out!  I also understand some of the video clips are  on youtube, facebook, godtube, and probably a thousand other places on the internet.

Headed over to jellytelly.com and watched.  The humor is great.  My wife was outside the room and thought I was watching Veggie Tales.  So, if you enjoy Veggie Tales, or just want to get in on some fun stuff, check out jellytelly.com

Earthday

We were just entering the 8:30 hour when the news on the internet informed us that earthday was about to begin.  The idea?  Try to use a little power as possible and thus reduce the carbon footprint around the world.  We thought we would try it, to  fulfil a simpler lifestyle.

As we found out, it was rather romantic.  We turned out lights around the house and put on candles.  In the shade of the night hours, surrounded by warm light and warmth we read around the table.

Could it become a habit?  With our schedule — I would doubt it.  Is it a possibility in the near future?  For sure!

In the small things

Over the last few years I’ve enjoyed having pictures taken on my camera.  They have been of events and creation and people.  When I measure them up to the expanse of the universe they are but small things.  And yet in their miniscule size is great treasure!

Here are a few  creation shots.  BTW – the first picture was snapped by my wife on my Canon S1 IS.
