Burn on or Burn out

For the last few weeks I’ve been busy.  With this and that.  I’ve been waiting for the crash.

For a few hours the doubts and fears have arisen.  And then there is encouragement, or rest or hope arising.  I’ve seen a number of opportunities arise from what looked like shambles.

And so, I’m watching myself.  I’m asking my wife and others to watch over me as well.  And most of all, I’m passing on my reliance to God.

Over at my father’s today, he has a saying on the bulletin board.  In essence it says that God is in control, so let go of what you think is yours to handle and leave the responsibility to Him.  Goes along with some scripture, if I remember Philippians 4 rightly!  And I Peter 5!  And a whole host of other words written in the Good (God) Book!

Not a bad thought!

Photos in miniature

Today at Walmart I made a discovery.

You see, I had well over 300 pictures I wanted to get printed.  The idea was to “storyboard” a powerpoint for presentation on Sunday.

My idea?  Get pictures printed, shift them around, finally come up with a plausible story line.

Originally the thought was to get full 4×6 prints done.  But then I saw “miniature” prints.  Not knowing what that meant, I decided to be adventurous.  It looked like nine pictures would fit on a 4×6 print.  Perfect for what I was about!  The storyboard would be a useful size (I might need a magnifying glass . . .).

So I plunged in, got nine photos on 44 pages and paid less than $10.00.  For a skin flint such as I, that amounted to a probable saving of $70.00.

Now, flush with money, maybe I can afford that magnifying glass!
