A clown in Sunday garb?

We celebrated today a successful fundraising for our youth missions team.  In fact, we went over our goal!  As part of the celebration, I wore a wig that could represent how my hair might have looked if it had been colored (one of the fundraisers).  Someone said it should have had a hole in the top (my baldness showing through).  I think a clown look is enough in and of itself!!

Two events today.  One was a fundraiser, for a youth missions trip.  A garage sale and a shave it/color it [OR not] finished at 12:00 noon.  The "winner" of the shave it event was our illustrious church board chairman, Harvey Penner.

Later in the afternoon we headed to a 50th Anniversary for our friends Art and Sylvia Walde.  Their kids did a great job of hosting!  Music, remembrances and fun!  Made for a great time.  And afterwards, I sat at a table with two other younger pastors and "chewed the fat" — which really means talking church life.

Soda bisquits

Tonight I had a hankering for soda bisquits. Now, hankering is one things. Actually doing something about it is another.

My wife decided she could make this delicacy. So, she started and within 20 minutes they were on the plate, warm and delicious. I probably ate one or two more than necessary. The heavenly taste seemed to just spur me on. Along with corn syrup and mango jam, there are not many other food stuff that can compare.

Thanks to my wife and baking soda!!

Over and under

When water leaks over the counter it gets under the sink.

That’s we are finding. A faucet we installed almost three years ago is having leakage mishaps. I tried to fix it a few months ago. But the handyman fix was not a match for the constant usage of the faucet.

So, the question to be examined? Should we get a new tap or try another temporary solution?

Can you tell by my question which way we are leaning (and thanks to the gusts of wind lately we are definitely leaning)? May see you tomorrow at the hardware store!!
