In the midst of busyness, I’m glad for designated days.
Although we have gathered together mementos for our Father’s Day service, other things are crowding my mind.
I received an email today — an update on Promise Keepers. Embedded in the text was a link to a video on a Father’s blessing. Although I have been blessed constantly by my father, this was a good reminder. We older men need to be blessing younger men. Reminding them that they are loved.
So, I sent off an email to my own son, and I hope to bless a number of other men in the next few days. Just to let them know that God loves them, and that I support them in their endevours in life. They are not alone — God has handcrafted them for his purposes!
Look around for those you can encourage today with your blessing.
Hey Ron,
I really liked the fathers blessing video. I was also in that look about for a great piece that can build upon the greatness of God in His miraculous power/deity as I use Acts 12:1-19 in my fathers day message this week.
We serve a Great and Living God who created us in His image, for His companionship.
May you and your family be blessed as well.
Vern
Oh, Pastor Ron. God’s perfect timing. The link was incredible. Sent it to a man with a hole in his heart, covered with prayer.
Love, Beryl
