Into the night!

Well, we are without our son tonight.  His travelling has taken him to our old town of Prince Albert.  He’ll see people, fulfil appointments and enjoy the journey.  So far he’s phoned home to enquire about presents for Christmas — that’s always the nice thing about cell phones. If you have a question of the moment, a quick call can answer the inquiry!

As the evening approached, we prepared for our small group meeting.  Since we needed a ride, we called one person.  They were sick.  Tried another — she wasn’t going to be ready to come.  I was feeling a bit nauseated with my stomach.  For tonight, the night is "off" — back to it next week.

Now I’m sitting working on word processing, preparing to turn a cassette taped song into a CD base.  So goes the night!

Goodness

My sermon today parked on "goodness".  If this truly is God’s essence, seen in Jesus Christ and manifested by the Spirit of God to us and through us — then we are people who must seek, not only to do good, but also to be good!  That is our core, our very being, our new creation.

As I explore this further — jot any thoughts you may have, or even questions about what I am getting at!

By the way, this comes out of II Peter 1:5 — to your faith add goodness!

Here we were.  In Regina!  1,000 men at an inspiring meeting.

What I enjoyed the most?  Having my son with me!

Sea of Geese

Eyes can deceive you.  That’s what I found this morning.

As we climbed a rise in the road to Rosetown, a slough seemed to be laid out in front of us.  Except the sea was moving.  Different than most sloughs.

As we ventured closer we found a sea of geese.  Thousands feeding on the field — apparently there was some feed still left on the field!

A sure sign winter is on the way — and spring is not far behind!
