OK, so he’s not that old — younger than me?  Following the resignation of the Dean, Dave Buschart and I served as co-deans at Canadian Theological Seminary for one year.  Our motto — "We will not just survive, we will thrive."  Well, we actually did survive!

Dave is now teaching at Denver Seminary.  He has written a book on the various streams of North American Protestantism — 8 altogether!  His thesis is that these varying streams can be hospitable to each other.  Sounds like a good read — I’ll have to pick up a copy.

Wrote him a quick email.  It will be interesting to see what he has been up to over the past 15  years or so!

Luseland Camp Day

I was a cook’s help today!

Jill and I signed up to help at our church sponsored camp.  Luseland is one of those camps!  In the middle of a farmer’s field.  No lake — no water skiing — just fun!  Kids seem to love the setting — smaller with individual attention.

And the food is great.  Today was the final supper together for this group.  Roast beef, potatoes, gravy, vegetables, salad and ice cream sundaes.  Enough to make me want to head back to camp.

On Sunday we showed a teaching video during our service.  "Indescribable" with Louie Giglio.  At least three people have enquired about where they can find the DVD.  You can look here for information.

Wedding Reception in Kerrobert

Jason and Blanca Ambros are newly married — February 3, 2007 in Mexico.

Not all of us could go.  So, the reception came to us tonight.  In Kerrobert.

The couple had a great program — free food — and community.  That’s what marriages require.  Not so much the food as the community!  Family and friends abounded.  Love and grace freely flowed.  The couple were blessed and blessed us!

And here is the kicker.  Not only did we get free food.  For those of us who wanted, there were flowers left over — freely available for the taking!
