Today I sat in my home office (OK, it’s actually a bedroom equipped with a computer or two). I pulled out some equipment — quietly strung wires to another bedroom. After hooking up a microphone and DI box (a great name for audio geeks!) I was ready.
Richard arrived shortly after 10:00 and by around 1:30 we had recorded the basics for two songs. One song is the old faithful, “Amazing Grace” — the other an original composition called “Everything.”
The micing of the guitar was actually “sweet”, as one of our musician friends from past years would say. When the songs were done, I spun off a CD for him.
And that, my friends, is just plain fun!!
